The Structural Grid Ceiling System is a pre-engineered solution that combines acoustical, strength, and performance features into one ceiling system, making it ideal for a wide range of applications.

Main Beam / Cross Tee, Floating / Fixed Perimeter

Structural Grid Ceiling System

  • Attach Components
  • Fix two main beams to six cross tees using twelve cross-connectors.
  • Align Connectors
  • Ensure connectors are properly aligned between the main beams and cross tees.
  • Secure with Fasteners
  • Use fasteners and lock-washers to attach the main beams to the cross tees. Tighten to 0.35 m-kg torque.
  • Leave Connectors Semi-Tightened
  • Do not fully tighten the connectors, as they will be used to attach subsequent subassemblies.
  • Expand the Grid System
  • Continue adding sections systematically until the entire grid system is assembled.

Main Beam / Cross Tee Fixed Perimeter Installation

Structural Grid Ceiling System

  • The fixed perimeter is designed to be installed along the perimeter wall with a standard length of 3.6m.
  • A drop rod is positioned at intervals of 1.2m from the ceiling.
  • On site, the perimeter section can be cut to the required length and bolted to the concrete wall to enhance the rigidity of the entire system.
  • The ends of the side perimeter to be connected using an “L” connector, allowing continuation with the next side beam.

Bolt Torque

Structural Grid Ceiling System

Bolt Connection Requirement:

  • All bolts connected to the top slot of the grid must be tightened flush against the washer.
  • The tightening should not exceed a maximum torque value of 3.39 Nm.
  • Use a torque-limiting screw gun or a ratchet tool (or equivalent) to perform the tightening.

Bottom Slot Bolt/Nut Connection Requirement:

  • All bolt or nut connections to the bottom slot of the grid must be tightened flush against the washer or mounting bracket.
  • The torque applied should not exceed 3.39 Nm.
  • Tightening must be carried out using a torque-limiting screw gun or a wrench (or equivalent tool).

Thread Engagement

When inserting bolts or threaded rods into the bottom slot to hang equipment, ensure they are sufficiently long to fully engage the entire slot depth; otherwise, thread tear-out may occur. A thread engagement of less than 17mm into the 10mm slot (measured from the bottom.

Hot Aisle Containment & Rack System

The support structure is used of several pieces of pre-combinedmodular aluminum profiles, which enables no welding is needed on site. In overhead applications the solution is completely supported by the ceiling so it is rack independent and server cabinets can be moved in and out without effecting the containment. The preserved space on the top of containment frame is available for camera, lighting, smoke sensor, pressure sensor and temperature sensor etc.
